POWESHIEK COUNTY – A semi truck driver was critically injured during a collision with a train in Poweshiek County yesterday.

The crash reportedly took place at around 4:30 PM on 50th Street, southeast of Grinnell. The driver of the semi truck was airlifted to a Des Moines hospital for treatment, and their condition was described as critical. No other injuries were reported in the accident.

The Poweshiek County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the collision.
