CHANCES FOR SNOW THURSDAY WITH WARMER WEATHER IN THE FORECAST

Chances for snow Thursday with warmer weather in the forecast

Many locations in eastern Iowa have broken daily record lows Thursday morning, but chances for snow are on the way.  Additional snowfall starts up in the late morning hours Thursday.

There’s likely be one to two inches in accumulation. Many roads will become slick. The snow will likely linger into the evening commute.  Friday continues to look dry and quiet with highs back to the teens and potentially some lower 20s.

EXTENDED FORECAST:

The next system arrives this weekend with mainly rain, though the increase in dew points will allow for drizzle and fog to be widespread.  Until pavement temperatures can rebound, roads could be slick with drizzle or fog Saturday.  Snowmelt will be quick this weekend and may result in some minor rises on creeks and streams.
