An early morning fire on Friday claimed the life of 61 year old Karen Bunting of New Sharon.  According to New Sharon Fire Chief Josh Crouse, the fire department was dispatched to a house on North Elm Street where a detached garage was on fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
