Maggie Yang turned an individual title into another Midwest Collegiate Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week award Monday.

Yang earned her fourth weekly honor of the year (10th of her career) by winning the medalist honor in the 64-player field at the TPC Deere Run Invitational.

The junior carded a 152 (75-77) to claim her third title of the season. She tied Bellevue’s Renee Santoyo for first and then defeated her in a playoff. Her efforts helped #21 WPU finish second, just four strokes behind #11 Bellevue.

For the year, Yang owns a 77.8 stroke average (low of 71) and has posted 12 of her 17 rounds in the 70s.

It is the eighth award for WPU this year.
