DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Police have arrested a Des Moines man a day after a crash that killed a 22-year-old woman.
Investigators Tuesday charged 24-year-old Troy Lee Mure Junior with vehicular homicide by reckless driving, vehicular homicide by operating while intoxicated and operating while intoxicated. He was taken to the Polk County Jail.
The arrest came a day after a vehicle driven by Mure slammed into a utility pole Monday morning, killing passenger Scalicity Boyd.
Mure was treated for injuries at a hospital and released.
Online court records didn’t indicate if Mure has a lawyer who could comment on the charges.
