Coronavirus update

One hundred people in Iowa died from coronavirus over the past week….with one death reported in each of Jasper, Wapello, Keokuk, Poweshiek and Monroe Counties.  The Iowa Department of Public Health says as of Tuesday (10/19), 6848 people in the state have died from COVID-19 during the pandemic.  Meanwhile, the number of new positive COVID-19 tests in Iowa has been declining.  6907 new positive tests were reported in the week ending Tuesday, bringing the pandemic total to 476,426.  129 new positive tests were reported in Wapello County, 92 in Mahaska County, 84 in Marion County, 68 in Jasper County, 49 in Poweshiek County, 28 new positive coronavirus tests in Monroe County and 21 in Keokuk County.
