BRAD PAISLEY SENDS GUITAR TO NASHVILLE MUSICIAN WHO LOST HOME IN CHRISTMAS DAY BOMBING

Brad Paisley Sends Guitar To Nashville Musician Who Lost Home In Christmas Day Bombing

Brad Paisley has helped out a fellow musician who lost everything in the Christmas Day bombing in Nashville. Guitarist Buck McCoy lost his home on Second Avenue in the blast, and shared that not only did Brad contact him, but he sent him a guitar so he could get back to work.

“I went to my Instagram and there was a message, and I was like, this must be some kind of prank,” Buck told WKRN. “You know, one of my funny buddies saying ‘let’s cheer Buck up.’ No, it was actually him, and he wanted to talk to me and he said, ‘I want to hook you up with a guitar so you can get back to work and make a living.’”

After Brad reached out through social media they talked about guitars, music and family for about 30 minutes. Brad also offered Buck unlimited groceries from his Nashville non-profit The Store, and shared Buck’s GoFundMe page on his social media site.

Buck says the gift is helping him get past what has happened to him. “I can’t just sit around and think about it over and over and the memory comes back,” he says, “It’s just, I need to create new memories; I need to create fun experiences; and then water those experiences; and let those old weeds die in the back.”
