Coronavirus outbreak at Crystal Heights in Oskaloosa

The Iowa Department of Public Health has declared a coronavirus outbreak at Crystal Heights Care Center in Oskaloosa.  14 people at Crystal Heights have tested positive for the coronavirus.  The Department of Public Health declares an outbreak when four people test positive at one location.

Eight new positive tests for COVID-19 were reported Tuesday (5/19) in Mahaska County.  There are also nine new positive cases in Wapello County and one each in Keokuk, Poweshiek and Jasper Counties.

Statewide, 12 additional deaths from coronavirus were reported Tuesday for a pandemic total of 367.  One of those deaths is a Jasper County resident.  And another 341 Iowans tested positive for COVID-19 for a total of 15,296.
