An Ottumwa man has been sentenced to 50 years in prison for murder.  21-year-old Jacob Heckethorn was convicted last November for second degree murder in the August 2018 death of William Shettlesworth.  Heckethorn will be back in court in the next few weeks, as he goes on trial for a charge of attempted murder that also took place in August 2018.
