Ottumwa voters eliminated one candidate for City Council at Tuesday’s (10/9) primary election.  Five candidates were on the ballot Tuesday for a place in the November election.  According to preliminary results, the candidates who advanced are Bob Meyers, incumbent Councilman Marc Roe, Mark Peters and Wes Crowder.  John Richards finished last and was eliminated by just nine votes.  Two City Council places will be available in November: Roe’s seat and that of Victor Streeby, who did not file for re-election.
