Oskaloosa’s baseball team sweeps Pella Christian

Oskaloosa’s baseball team reached the 20 win mark for the season Thursday (7/11) as the Indians swept a doubleheader with Pella Christian at Lacey Recreation Complex.  The Indians took the first game 12-1 in five innings as Tyler Miller and Colton Butler drove in three runs apiece.  Rian Yates was the winning pitcher.  Then in game two, the Indians scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to earn a 10-7 victory.  Third baseman Noah Van Veldhuizen had two doubles and drove in five runs.  Wyatt Krier got the win in relief.  Oskaloosa improves to 20-10 on the year and 15-6 in the Little Hawkeye Conference.  The Indians wrap up the regular season Monday night (7/15) at Washington.
