Two people are dead after a pickup collided head-on with a semi Monday morning (7/1) near Rose Hill.  According to the Mahaska County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called around 10:15am to an accident on Highway 92 near the intersection of Urbana Avenue.  First responders saw that a pickup that had been going eastbound on 92 had crossed the center line and struck a semi-tractor/trailer head-on. The driver of the pickup, 32-year-old Chase VonLienen of North Liberty, and a passenger, 40-year-old Bobbie Jean Milford of Wellman, were both pronounced dead at the scene.  The driver of the semi, 55-year-old Scott Wagg of Washington, Iowa, was not injured.  The pickup was totaled and the semi had an estimated $40,000 in damage.
