Ottumwa father and son face drug charges

A father and son from Ottumwa were arrested early Thursday (6/6) after law enforcement found drugs in plain sight in the family’s home.  Ottumwa Police were called to a home on Boone Avenue around 2:30am Thursday to investigate a stolen license plate.  When officers arrived, they saw the drugs on the living room table.  They then got a search warrant.  According to online court documents, the search turned up two bags of meth, a bag of prescription drugs, a digital scale, 160 grams of marijuana and a large amount of cash.  54-year-old Keith Joseph Irvine and 26-year-old Bryce Allen Irvine are both charged with two counts of failure to attach a drug stamp, possession with intent to deliver marijuana and possession with intent to deliver more than five grams of meth.  Both men are in custody in the Wapello County Jail on $35,000 bond.
