OSKALOOSA SENIOR INJURES HAND

Oskaloosa senior injures hand

A loss for Oskaloosa High’s boys’ basketball team.  Senior forward Cole Henry was injured during Thursday’s (1/31) practice.  Indians Coach Ryan Parker explains what happened.

“He complained that his hand hurt.  Part of it, I think was, he caught a lob, hit the hand against the rim and came down with his hand hurting.  He went a couple more possessions and finally told me that he couldn’t do it any more.  So we sent him to the doctor.”

And what did the doctor say?

“A broken hand….(he’ll) be out probably close to three weeks.”

Henry is averaging 20.7 points a game along with 11.8 rebounds and 4.5 assists….and he has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Northern Iowa next year.  The Indians play at Pella tonight (2/1).  We’ll have the Oskaloosa boys’ and girls’ games on KBOE-FM; coverage starts at 6, girls’ game at 6:15 and the boys’ game around 7:45.
