On this day in 1985, Alabama’s albums Mountain Music and Feels So Right were certified Quadruple Platinum, while their album The Closer You Get was certified Triple Platinum. Mountain Music was not only a huge success on the country charts, put crossed over to the pop charts as well, hitting number one. In 1998, Mountain Music was certified 5X Platinum.
