It’s opening night for high school football.  The Oskaloosa Indians kick off their season tonight at Pella Christian.  Osky Coach Jake Jenkins says Pella Christian may be a 1A school and Oskaloosa 3A, there are about the same number of players on each team.  “It’s a very, very good matchup.  They have athletes, they have a lot of athletes.  They have coaches, they have a lot of coaches. They have community support, they have a lot of community support.  You look at the Indians, we have the exact same thing: coaches coaching their tails off, kids playing really hard, we have some athletes and we have great community support.   I’m just excited that two football towns, two very good are coming together to strap it up.  I think it’s going to be very good Iowa high school football and I look forward to it a lot.”
