On this day in 1972, Hank Williams Jr. hit the top of the Billboard chart with his single “Eleven Roses.” The song was the only single and title track from the album of the same name, and was Hank’s first number one hit.  “Eleven Roses” spent 14 weeks on the Hot Country Singles chart’s top 40.
