The Ottumwa High School Canned Food drive donations can be made by dropping items off at a drop-off point or calling Andrea Wilz at 641-954-1549 for pickup. Donations may include canned goods, pop cans, and monetary donations. Approved locations for drop off are 1549 N. Van Buren Ave and 823 N. Court Ave. in Ottumwa.

What Cheer Opera House will hold a Country Music Christmas Show Saturday, November 1.

First Christian Reformed Church will host a community blood drive from 3-7 pm at N. 11th and J Ave. E, inside Fellowship Hall. To donate, please contact Rose and Larry Van Woerkom at 641-891-6571.

Tracy United Methodist Church will be holding its Harvest Supper on Friday, November 7. Adults will be $9 and children under 12 will be $5.

The Heartland Pregnancy Center of Ottumwa, Iowa will be hosting its 22nd annual fall fund raiser banquet "Counting Our Blessings" on Friday, November 2. Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased by contacting the center at 641-683-3030. 

November 10
The Quaker Men Soup Supper will take place at the College Avenue Friends Church on Monday, November 10 from 5-7 pm. A free will offering will be asked and proceeds provide assistance for youth and young adults to attend conferences. 

November 13
Kiwanis Club of Oskaloosa will host a community blood drive from 2-7 pm on Thursday, November 13 at 200 High Ave West, inside Center Court. To donate, please contact Marsha Riordan at 641-673-1045 or visit www.bloodcenterimpact.org and use code 5062 to locate the drive.

Nelson Pioneer Farm in Oskaloosa has squirrel corn and corn shocks for sale. You do the harvesting! Funds from this project sponsor future historic farming efforts at Nelson Pioneer Farm. For more information call 641-672-2989.

First Thursday Evening of Each Month:
The Safe Place Suicide Support Group will meet on the first Thursday evening of each month at the Celebrate Church, 1005 N Lincoln in Knoxville. Meetings run from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
