August 22
The Mahaska County Agency on Aging is hosting a spaghetti dinner and silent auction the evening of August 22, beginning at 5:45 pm. Bidding begins at 6 pm and the dinner will be served at 6:45 pm. Guests are encouraged to offer a free will donation for dinner. All proceeds will go towards the Senior Center's "Burn the Mortgage!" campaign and other funds aiding the progression of their facilities. September 4
Women of the community are invited to attend Thursday Morning Coffee Break at Oskaloosa 1st Christian Reformed Church, at 815 North 11th Street starting Thursday, September 4th at 9:30 am... September 5

Women of the community are invited to attend Tuesday Evening Coffee Break beginning with a picnic at Edmundson Park in the shelter by playground, to include socializing for the women and
playtime for their children. Each week following at the 1st Christian Reformed Church in Oskaloosa will include an evening meal at 5:45 followed by Bible study at 6:15 for women and Bible stories, games & crafts for their children... September 11
The 3rd Reformed Church in Pella will host the bible League Central Iowa Retreat on September 11. The keynote speaker will be Valerie Elliot Shepherd. Come on out to learn about the Bible League's Ministry in South America. The event will also feature a concert by the Gospel Male Chorus.

The Blue Zones Project of Oskaloosa will be hosting Fit Family Fun from 4:00-5:00 pm every Sunday from August to October in Oskaloosa's Historic City Square. This program is free to the Oskaloosa Community. For more information, call 641-672-3104.

First Thursday Evening of Each Month:
The Safe Place Suicide Support Group will meet on the first Thursday evening of each month at the Celebrate Church, 1005 N Lincoln in Knoxville. Meetings run from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. The Oskaloosa Public Library is now accepting donations of new and gently used Legos for our Lego Club. Lego Club is for kindergarten through fifth graders and meets the first Tuesday of every month.

Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays:
Attention Kids and Teens: Come get a healthy meal and join in on fun and educational activities. From June 2 to August 15, summer lunches will be available to kids age 1 to 18 (children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult) at the following locations: Central United Methodist Church, Edmundson Park, New Hope Free Methodist Church.
