Oskaloosa High School will host a community blood drive from 9:30 am- 2:30 pm inside the small gym. Sponsored by the Student Council. 

December 2
Mahaska Health Partnership Hospital Auxiliary will be sponsoring a Cookie, Puffin and Pie Sale from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm outside the Mahaska Health Partnership Cafeteria, entrance #1. 

December 5
MidWestOne Bank Oskaloosa will host a community blood drive from 10:00 am- 2:00 pm at 222 First Ave. E, inside Group Meeting Room. To donate, please contact Jacquelin Velduizen at 641-673-1550 or visit and use code 5049 to locate the drive. 

December 6-7
Oskaloosa Area Association of Churches invites you to attend the Annual Tour of Homes. This event is Saturday, Dec. 6 from 4-7 and Sunday, Dec. 7 from 1-4. Tickets are available at Mahaska Drug, Book Vault, and the Oskaloosa Chamber Office prior to the event. The days of the event, tickets can be purchased at the church, Good News Chapel and at each home.

The Oskaloosa Community of Christ Church will be having a Christmas Bazaar from 10:00 am- 4:00 pm. Soem items included will be wreaths quilts, and crocheted items. The church is located at 330 N 6th St. with both on street and off street parking.

The Annual Fall Harvest Dinner and Auction will be held at the Moulton United Methodist Church at 201 East 4th St in Moulton. The Sweet Shop will open at 9:00 am, and a buffet lunch will be served from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.

Nelson Pioneer Farm in Oskaloosa has squirrel corn and corn shocks for sale. You do the harvesting! Funds from this project sponsor future historic farming efforts at Nelson Pioneer Farm. For more information call 641-672-2989.

First Church of the Nazarene in Ottumwa-Kids Club now offers a bus ministry to pick up kids or adults on Wednesdays. Service starts at 6:30pm, bus pick up starts at 5:30pm. Call the church for more info at 684-6501.

First Thursday Evening of Each Month:
The Safe Place Suicide Support Group will meet on the first Thursday evening of each month at the Celebrate Church, 1005 N Lincoln in Knoxville. Meetings run from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. This group helps support friends, families, and any loved ones who have lost someone to suicide. For more info call 641-891-5912 or 642-344-5681.

Adult Grief Support Group meets the 1st Wednesday of every month from 1 to 2pm in the Mahaska Health Partnership Hospice Conference Room (entrance #6).

Diabetes WISE Classes are an educational course designed to improve the health and well-being of people with diabetes. Classes are offered on an as-needed basis; pre-registration is required. Call 641-672-3422 for more information.

Diabetes Support Group meets the 2nd Wednesday of every month in the Mahaska Health Partnership Cedar Bluff Learning Center (entrance #3). Attendance is free but registration is requested

The Oskaloosa Public Library is now accepting donations of new and gently used Legos for our Lego Club. Lego Club is for kindergarten through fifth graders and meets the first Tuesday of every month.

Pella Regional Health Center will hold an Adult Grief Support Group with Coffee, Conversation and Comfort on the 2nd Tuesday of month, from 9:30 to 10:30 am in the Lower Level of Comfort House... No reservation is necessary and this event is free and open to the public.
